Sven Marquardt is the famous bouncer of Berghain, the ‘nein’ man, celebrated photographer and now also a figure in the seventh art. In terms of music, the soundtrack for ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ features a track from Sawayama, and the likes of French duo Justice, techno artist Gesaffelstein, and Japanese producer Powder. Apart from the similarities, this is a strong allusion to the mythical Berlin club. It is a large nightclub with various rooms and art installations, just like Berghain. One of the fight scenes in the film takes place in Germany in a Berghain-like venue. Marquardt’s appearance is not the only reference to German rave life. Despite the greatness that is the character of Sven Marquardt in real life, his only line in the film is ‘ I am Klaus‘. Marquardt makes a brief appearance in the film, playing Klaus, a character who helps the protagonist find a criminal to assassinate. Sven Marquardt, the legendary and well-known Berghain bouncer, makes a cameo appearance in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’. The fourth instalment of the action-thriller series, directed by Chad Stahelki, once again brings Keanu Reeves to the screen, but there are more stars in this film.
